WASHINGTON — Almost 12 months into the pandemic that has affected millions from coast to coast, President Biden continues to meet with senators about his COVID-19 relief package. On top of that, Biden and his team have set out to speak directly to the American people about what’s at stake.

Taking out ads online, getting air on local and major news networks, the Biden administration has already done 60-plus interviews to prevent people from getting down about the results so far. It is no secret that bipartisanship is important at a time like this when Americans need relief they have waited 12 months for.

“The public is not getting caught up in the process — what they want is results,” said Cedric Richmond, the White House director of public engagement. “People these days are not worried about the inside-the-beltway terminology. They’re looking at who’s doing what to help.”

The president, when speaking with House Democrats, said how he feels the $1400 is a foundational promise to voters.

Amongst many other things in this bill, the White House wants to reboot the economy as fast as it was taken away from everyone. In the coming days, it will be clear whether campaign promises of bipartisanship can be reached, and how fast the Biden administration can get real money into the hands of American people.
